Research on titles


Titles that give the audience a strong idea of the film:

Paranormal Activity - Simple enough, it’s a horror genre film that is based on paranormal activity which is demon/ghostly encounters.

When a Stranger Calls - Again, a horror film that means something will happen or begin to happen when a stranger calls.

Saw - A saw connotes violence, blood and gore so this gives the audience a clear heads up on the content of violence of this film.

Titles that leave the audience wondering:

Insidious - This title doesn't exactly connote blood, murder or kidnap so this leaves the audience wondering what the content on the film is about.

IT - This title is very basic and gives nothing away to the viewer other than there is something that is important during the film.
